The top punch for the Lyman Postel works as well as any.
The other option is to call Buffalo Arms and see what they recommend.

I have had numerous custom bullet molds made where there is no top punch available.

So I buy a top punch for that diameter bullet.

I drill out the center.

I fill the drilled out top punch center with epoxy and push it down on a bullet coated with a release agent using my sizer - my bullet lube works great as a release agent and some people use floor wax.

Epoxy hardens and then I have a top punch with the correct nose fit for my new bullet.

Picture of a beat up old 663 top punch converted with epoxy for my .40 caliber Money bullet on right side of second picture.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I do the same thing as Dave. Just find a top punch large enough and then use epoxy to form it perfectly to the bullet. Put it in my lubrisizer while the epoxy sets up, then trim off any excess that squeezes out after it sets up.

I have simply put a wad of tin foil into the cavity and let the bullet form it as I squeeze it into the die. Had bullets but no dies for them all. Works pretty good and can be changed back if wished. The wad usually stays inside pretty much on its own, but a tiny drop of tacky glue will keep it there if not.

I stole small amounts of my kids Play-Doh and use that as a filler.  It takes a day to dry out and is easy to remove if you want to replace it.  Once I got my lathe, I have made my own ‘blanks’.
