anybody here know of somebody that made highwall reproductions in Conrad Montana? I recently purchased a receiver and the only markings on it are Conrad Mt in very small letters on the bottom front of the receiver.

It seems like there was a foundry some place in Montana that made castings for one of the rifle manufacturers but can't remember the foundry name and location or who they made them for. I do remember that you could order casting sets direct from the foundry. Sorry for incomplete details but my memory is getting weak (76 years old). maybe some one else will see this and recall.

Boulder River Foundry.  Subsidiary of Shiloh Sharps.

The OP's 1885?  No clue!
