Used CPA?

I happened on this today and the price seems low but I don't know anything about CPAs. Are there known problems? In the pictures I first noticed some scratches on the top of the block and then looking closer I noticed the burred screw heads. Are there problems the previous owner had to address or was he just a ham-fist?
Also, the seller is calling this a "Swiss Feuerstutzen", unsure why. Did CPA offer a Swiss model?

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

My wife and I have several CPA Rifles and all of them are good shooters with few problems. Further, if a problem arises, the folks at CPA are great with customer support.
The rifle in the ad looks to have different wood on the fore end something CPA is better at matching; restocked? The wear mark on the breach block might be from coming in contact with the the hammer when opening the action; not sure if this would be an issue. In my experience, buggered screw heads are from using incorrect blade screw drivers (and ham-fisted operators). One thing I have noticed with several brands of current made single shot rifles is the habit of screws coming loose. Maybe they were "well tightened"?
Nice looking rifle (except for the mis-matched wood). Appears to have MVA sights. I don't know the currency conversion, but if its less than $2K USD, it sems to be a good buy (assuming there are no other issues).

i should have written wrong screwdriver/ham-fist
I have a Sauer stalking rifle in 8x48R I can't get apart. The screws have unbelievably narrow slots and are very tight. I have broken several tips now after grinding them to fit. I have had a couple of mis-fires with this rifle so I need to get it apart to inspect and clean the inside of the action.

I think life any other rifle there can be some problems. I have 3 of them. The first two were good other than simple problems like loose screws inside, and needing a touch of wood relieved where the mainspring was rubbing it. I would say these two are very good guns now.
The third one, and the one I bought most recently has had a lot of troubles. I live in Canada so couldn't send it back to be fixed under warrantee so slowly did it myself diagnosing it over several months. It's good now, except with the 38-50 barrel.

CPA has always sold rifles in various forms of completion for guys who wanted to save some money. It's possible this is one they sold with barreled action finished, and wood fitted, but not final shaped and finished. That might explain why the stocks don't look like CPA's work.

Perhaps this was sold to someone in Switzerland and so now with Swiss proofs it is a "Swiss CPA". Makes sense.

The one thing I can add, is that even if it has problems they are pretty easy to work on, and getting spare parts from CPA is easy. I'm not sure about getting them sent to Europe though.

I have a Simpson Suhl combination 12 over 7x65, same problem. I need to remove the butt stock, can’t get the 2 bottom screws out.

When I get really p+++++ I will drill a hole in the heads and use an easy out then replace them with something I can turn.

The CPA screws would continuously come loose on my CPA regardless of how tight they were torqued.
Lock tight solved my problem.
I bought a used CPA and the screw head was sheared off inside the trigger guard.
No machinist was able to extract the screw stub - but a replacement trigger set from CPA solved my problem.
I met Paul Shuttleworth at Raton and asked him if he sold rimfire blocks so I could add an additional .22 barrel to my CPA rifle.
He reached into his pocket and handed me the block I was enquiring about plus the rimfire extractor.
Fastest service I ever had trying to get rifle parts.
My CPA rifle started life with a .32-40, .40-60 Maynard, .40-65 WCF barrels and now a .22 LR barrel (top picture).
Also have had the CPA in .45-70 (middle picture) and .218 Bee.
CPA offered different wood options depending on whether you wished to shoot Schuetzen or BPCR Silhouette matches or if you preferred sporting hunting.
The Swiss option the seller was discussing has a Schuetzen buttstock and Schuetzen lever and a palm rest mount.
My top rifle has a Schuetzen lever and a Silhoutte stock whereas the middle picture has the standard hunting, silhoutte or sporting lever and the Sporting/Varmint buttstock.
Schuetzen buttstocks are not allowed in the BPCR Silhouette events.
Bottom picture of a Schuetzen buttstock.
