Another focus area of "maybe getting enough".   

Today I was sorting an estate of a fellow that was somewhat of a woodworker.  he had a nice sandpaper organizer, thought I would use it on my downstairs bench where I often sand stocks.  I had been considering making one, so this was timely.

It got me thinking about sandpaper, and thinking I should do some sorting and organizing.  I have a dedicated sandpaper cabinet, that has drawers just right for holding sheets.  Unfortunately, it wasn't sorted well, and I had a few other drawers around the shop with more in them.  So, pulled it all out, started to sort and organize.  I buy sandpaper in bulk, 50 or more sheets of a grit at a time.  Plus, save any that comes to me from estates.  As I got it sorted out, I see that I have some 3" deep drawers full of a grit size, such as 220.  Mix of al-ox, ceramic, and silicone carbide. Probably approaching a lifetime supply.  And, in addition, I have other drawers that have cloth backed alox sheets in them, all grits from 60 to 400, with close to 100 of each grit.  Those are in another cabinet in the shop.  Looks like I can quit acquiring and saving sandpaper now.   

I should throw away all the torn up or partially used pieces.  But, think I'll fill a deep drawer with them, I often rummage around in the small pieces and find what I need to clean something up or smooth it quickly.  I usually write the grit on the back of small pieces I tear off with sharpie, to facilitate their re-use later.

I did move the boxes of random orbit discs out of the sheet cabinet, and fill their own drawer elsewhere with them to help facilitate the sorting and utilization of the cabinet better. And put the sanding sponges and rolls of emery back in their correct drawers too.

Today, another realization of semi-hoarding behavior.

Was looking for a scope mount and rings, and realized I have a couple hundred more than I'll ever use.  I've set these aside from lots and one at a time I've acquired over 40 years.  Sorted out a large box full to dispose of, consolidated down to the half dozen or so that I have projects in line for.

Sights will need to be next.

Just to keep Jack interested, I might get to the high wall parts someday.....Probably do the rolling blocks first, though!

Your too organized for the hoarding status.  Sadly, me on the other hand, I know I have it but can't find it , forcing me to buy another.  
If you're bored, come to Texas for the winter and fix my stuff. 
On the other hand, your partly to blame by listing cool stuff for sale that I'm must buy
