Has any one used Bore Tech Rimfire Blend to remove lead and lube from a barrel. My wife complains of the odor of other solvents.

Only way to find out is buy her a bottle. Some guys have all the luck, geez.

I've used their rimfire blend for that purpose, for about five, maybe six years. 

I also have two other Bore Tech solvents, and other brand cleaners, but rimfire is far and away my primary, for cast bullet shooting. I'll make little exceptions, but I use all the stuff, outside of the house.

If I had to give my wife a bottle Channel #5 to get her to clean my guns I'd just do it myself. If I had a wife that is.

That is why it is nice to have a man cave in the shop.  It smelled like Hoppes #9 and Kroil today.

Myself I wouldn't care where my wife cleaned my guns as long as it smells like Channel #5 in the bedroom.

Probably not but it could cover up the smell of something that works.  I use Kroil and don’t mind how it smells.  Turpentine works too but I can’t stand it at all.

I've gone to this stuff. Had a heart attack when I first used it. The patch looked like it was covered in rust, but it seems to turn that color as it removes lead. You do need their "wipe out" to neutralize it. Worked wonders on a badly leaded 45-70 barrel

I use Birchwood Casey's Lead remover Cloth to remove lead from bores. It really works and smells sweet, and has no stinky smell like we enjoy.
The tighter the patch fits the bore the better it works. And once the lead is out I run another patch back and forth and it will polish even old dark bores.

Yes, I carry scissors to cut patches and for .30 caliber cut these in 3/4 X 1 1/4 inch squares to use on a nylon brush.
