My parts arrived.  Here they are with their luggage and their cross country path.  The last photo shows how far it needed to go a bit over 54 miles.

If I ever want to go for a long trip at low cost, I may consider mailing myself to myself here at home. that way I'll have a trip to new places and transportation back home. Thanks for the travel tip Jack. Smiley

Better not mail yourself unless you pack two weeks of provisions in the box too!

I had a $2500 rifle that I sold do a very similar thing. It was an anxiety laden 2 weeks for both of us. The rifle was finally intercepted in Miami's lowest rent district after it sat there for several days. Its really quite disgusting to me and unfortunately a sign of the times.

He is not kiding. I have had the same thing happen, although with even less value. They, with a little patience, do eventually arrive at the intended destination. But it seems we have not considered  literally millions of packages that arrive safely on a regular basis, perhaps even daily?

i shipped a nice hepburn match b and it took 3 weeks priority ( i thought it was 3 days not 3 weeks must have missed the fine print), it logged about 3000 miles for a 800 mile trip, but it made it safe and sound no damage. guess it had been couped up in a safe and needed some senery.   tony<><
