ASSRA Journal

Journal arrived yesterday, read it cover to cover already. I am happy to see Geoff has taken it on himself to expand shooting matches for traditional German schuetzen rifles. In the 1980s, I had Paul Shuttleworth build me a Hiwall schuetzen, I invested a lot of money (for me) in that rifle, then I discovered German Schuetzen rifles. The Hiwall is now a safe queen, it has been years since I have fired it. I am going to try for the matches next year. My favorite.

System Concurrenz, coil spring powered striker, much like a true Martini, but a true falling block. Proofed in 1907.

Beautiful rifle Mike! I do love those German Schuetzen

Also FYI - I’m working on an English translation of Moderne Scheibenwaffen:

Once I’m done in a few months I’ll post a pdf for everyone.
