This rifle has been on the market over here for quite some time. Price seems a bit high to me...

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

12.5k in Euro is 14K in US dollars, unless this was carried by Buffalo Bill Cody while scouting the plains, I'd say its a bit overpriced. JMHO Wink

From what I've seen of real Sharps Mid-Range rifles like that, it's not at all over priced. And add to the fact that scope can easily sell for $2k-$2.5k I think it's actually a bargain here in the US at most large shows. I've seen similar sell for $3k-$5k more with out a Malcolm scope.

The seller's shop is not far from me, perhaps I should visit. He is the same guy that is offering a Ballard Hunter 1 1/2 in 45-120 that supposedly came from a cabin in Montana...

When I first heard of him 30-35 years ago he was known for some "different" conversions of HK rifles and 1911 work. Not my taste so I was not there before.

one just like it hammered down for like $7,500 at RIA today so add in the 20% for their fee and shipping so $9,000.

If the bore is perfect I'd be pretty proud to have that in my safe at that price.

No scope. here is link: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Add in for the scope as Vall suggests and the asking price is about right.

If your in the market and a serious buyer, you would have to ask the question, "where you going to find another?"

It would be interesting to know the serial number of the one Schwartz stock listed as it is a 44 caliber which is pretty rare in the mid-range rifle. If you read the letter from Labowski, it lists three 44 calibers going out in a shipment.  One with an octagon barrel and 2 with half octagon barrels. Could this one have been in the same shipment as the one sold at Rock Island?

I know of one for sale right now that's a gorgeous Mid-Range with half octagon barrel, and is priced at $20k, and seller might take $18k. Can't recall the cartridge?

I think the consensus is, from reading all the input, that it is not overpriced, however it will take deep pockets and  driven collector to buy the rifle. If I was that person I would buy it.

If I had the spendable cash it would go home with me. Caliber is not important. Can you imagine the history behind it. Someone probably had to ride a horse or a steam train to get it. It wasn't built with CNC equipment. Where has it been what has it done. That in my opinion is why you pay the big bucks. In my eyes that gun is an absolute work of art...

as do the others
