Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to find someone close so as not to have to ship. The barrel is threaded and ready to go but somehow the the threads got flattened a bit so it's difficult to install. I don't want to tweak the action with too much pressure, so I need someone to chase the threads so that it screws on easier.

Don't know if it will help but you can use thread restoring files to fix some things. If the damage isn't too bad they would probably work. I have used them in the past with good results. Grainger and MSC and other tool houses have them. They are not too expensive and really come in handy.

They are easy to use. Place the barrel in a vice and once you find the thread pitch take your file and using a rocking filing motion file the damaged areas. Don't file on one spot or you will get a "flat spot" You will get the hang of it quickly. Hope it fixes your problem.
