Tracing Borchardt rifle

Trying to gather information on this Borchardt rifle. I bought it from Chuckster, belonged to Mike Gish who resided in Colorado. Stainless six groove left hand twist barrel in 32-40. Has a thumb rest and a stainless band at the front of the forestock.

Anyone remember the rifle?

My understanding is Mike purchased the rifle from Dick Binger, who sold it on consignment from the widow of a gunsmith from back east.
Mike also had a .17 caliber, 44 1/2 which appeared to be made by the same person.

Thanks Chuck. Dick Binger does not remember the rifle so thought I'd search here.
By the way, nice meeting you at Raton.  Smiley

Chuck, was the rifle a 32-40 when Mike acquired it?

Yes, think it has been .32-40 since it was built.

Looks like a quality build. Have you shot it yet?

Yes, from the bench only.  Have shot it quite a lot. Here are targets I shot at Deep Creek near Missoula this summer.  One target is miss marked "iron sights" even though it is clearly a scope target and has the scope type written on it. That Walt, what a cut up.  A good bench shooter could do better with it.
