I have a Stevens 044 1/2 coming and was wondering if any parts were the same as a 44 1/2 ? It's in 25/21 and I would also like a 22 LR barrel and block.

The breech block is narrower and the barrel shank is 3/4". Very few parts are the same.

Congratulations on your purchase.  The .25-21 is a fine cartridge.  The 044 1/2's are a bit more scarce than the 44 1/2's. Except for the length of pull, to me they are about the same size as a 1915 favorite.

One interesting thing:  the minor diameter of the threaded end of a 44 1/2 is the same as the major diameter of the 044 1/2, so if you can find a 44 1/2 barrel in the caliber you're looking for, the barrel stub can be turned down to fit your 044 1/2.

the only parts that fit the from the 44 1/2 to the 044 1/2 is lower tang and trigger group.
