??? Are you sure it wasn’t a 375165?  I can’t remember ever seeing a 373 anything. What do you know about it and what is the application?

Well frog, the ideal handbook #15, page 108 says “ 373165 is the standard bullet for the 38-40 and 38-50 Remington. It goes on to say that .373 (.38-45, 38-50 REM and 38-45 Bullard ).
I have a 38-45 Bullard and I have the 38-45 190 373164 mould.
I have shot the 190 gr over 16 gh 4198 and and a 375248 250 gn over 16 gn 4198 and surprisingly they both chronographed about the same. 1300 fps.
So still looking for the 373165.
👍👍

I forgot to say that it’s for a Remington Hepburn, 38-40 Remington, double set trigger, case colored, and in Winchester barrel weights #5.

“Open mouth, insert foot.”

I saw those numbers and immediately thought “38-55”.  Mea culpa, but at least it kept your thread active!

I wish you luck in your search because that Hepburn should be a hoot to shoot.  You may find it worth your while to have one of the custom mould makers cut one for you.  I’ve played the game chasing discontinued Ideal moulds and the hunt was fun but cut down on my shooting time.  Roll Eyes

Regards,
Froggie

I share your frustration. But sometimes it’s does pay off.
Thanks
