hi, a question .would it be possible to rechamber an old 32-20 win  savage 219 SS to 32 winchester special  as a refurb project and would it work.regards col     ps would the twists rates work?

Yep, at least 10 thousandths difference in bore diameter.
More importantly, the 219 in 32-20 is a rare item (i.e. valuable) and it would be a shame (foolish?) to change it. Just my opinion; to each his own.

32-20 has taken more than a few deer over the years . . . . . . .

I think the twist is 20/1, same as the 30 Carbine. You can use 130 gr bullets and basic Carbine load data (reduced 1gr to start) for GC, high velocity loads.

I agree, don't rechamber.
