Ned Roberts has quite a bit to say about Mr. Lewis and his rifles in "The Muzzle Loading Caplock Rifle," and quotes heavily from Lewis's 1876 booklet on how to manage his rifles in Chapter Five, on loading, cleaning and care of the rifle.
Does anyone know if a print or digital copy of this booklet still exists? A friend just bought a Lewis rifle.
