Hello Mal,
Montana Vintage Arms sells bases that will fit and vernier staffs for any applications depending on what your friend is planning to use the rifle for
Hope this helps

Spend money on good sights because in most cases our eyes are not getting better!!
I have always heard that you should spend as much on a good scope as you did the rifle. I have a hard time following that advice.

Its hard to say with the import/export regulations. But MVA or Baldwin. Buffalo Arms handles Kelly sights. Any of those you could get sent to AU would be good.

I once hunted with an engineer from Raytheon in AZ that actually followed that advice, said he read it in a magazine.... He was not much of a shooter (or hunter) but he had a Rem 700 ADL with the most expensive Swarovski available at the time. Probably cost 4x the price of the rifle

The only time you would be wise to follow that advice, is when you wish you had!!
