I have Stevens-Pope false muzzles #762 and #764 but no #763

sorry, I'm a joker!!

if you locate it you are  gonna win the Megamillions lottery the next day .

I misplaced my AW Peterson false muzzle in a move and went crazy till I found it.

Al Aub, I don't have your false muzzle but you are asking in the right place.
I have a Pope Stevens with the wrong number false muzzle (reamed smooth bore). The way I remember, there was a thread about somebody getting a rifle and some banter about the rifle by several different individuals and it came up somebody was looking for a false muzzle for another gun. I thought, Hmmm, I wonder what that muzzle number was on my mis-matched gun. Bingo, I had it. So I posted that and also gave the number on my barrel and lo and behold, somebody else pipes up, " I have the one for your barrel".
And we all lived happily ever after.

For some crazy reasons this muzzle was sold in a different lot than the gun in 1968 there might be a very small chance it could show up

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I have a friend who owns a Pope barreled Ballard, and I mentioned here the barrel number and got a reply from a member who said he had the false muzzle for that barrel and it came with a Stevens-Pope rifle he owned, but didn't match.
Unfortunately my friend's Pope Ballard no longer had a false muzzle as someone had cut the barrel off and recrowned it to eliminate the holes for the false muzzle, so my friend wasn't interested in getting the false muzzle.
So I think if there's a chance, there's no better place than right here to find it. I'm still looking for the false muzzle for one of my Schoyen Ballard rifles in .38-55, but unfortunately Schoyen didn't number his, so even less chance I'll ever find it.

If you look in the Stevens-Pope book you will see that the muzzle exists. I have been recording wayward muzzles and starters in the SP books and have re-united several over the years. If anyone has a loose muzzle please let me know and we may be able to find a home for it.
