My experience with them from 30 years ago is not good, hammers were soft and peened.

Sounds like a new Uberti I bought a few years ago (and quickly sold).

New to this forum & found this subject interesting as I own a couple Pedersolis. The early history was interesting & made me realize how Pedersoli has made a lot of improvements over time.

My experience started in 1999 when I purchased a "Creedmore" rolling block out of a Cabela's catalog. Think the bottom line was somewhere under $ 800 at that time. I knew absolutely nothing about what I was doing but after seeing Mr Quigley's movie just had to have a big bore, long barreled breechloader. I have learned a lot since then & still comfess I've got a long way to go.

At the time I had had a bit of experience w/firearem & after getting some experience w/my scoped, model 70 thought I was a really excellent marksman. That is until I got involved w/a bunch of shooters who liked leverguns & breechloading rifles from the 19th cent. Shooting these firearms w/their period-correct sights was a humbling experience to say the least.

I still have that rolling block & have now put 1695 rds down the bbl. Since learning a little about reloading in 2015 (age 75) all I have shot w/it are cast bullets that I have reloaded myself.

Pedersoli50yds.JPG I shot this off sticks, 50 yds in 2015. An early reload of Laser Cast 405s over some Unique.

Fit & finish is pretty good, especially as I'm a shooter not a collector.
