We are just a bunch of friends who have hung out each year at a friend's property to socialize and shoot together. Our mentor passed away about 5 years ago, but his family likes our get togethers so much they wanted us to continue the tradition.
We camp out on the property and shoot our guns at distances from 450 yds. to 990 yds. And of course have lots of laughs and good times. No competition, and no politics.

That’s the best kind of gathering. Sorry to hear about the loss of your Friend. I love watching the videos on YouTube and I like all the different firearms but that guy who rung the target with his Marlin 38-55 off hand at 1/2 mile blew me away. That was the best. Well, I’m jealous. Thanks for the reply.

That was Wind, our late friend and mentor who started the shoots at his place long ago. Not sure if I can find the old video he sent me many years ago, but it's him with likely that same old Marlin 1893 in .38-55 shooting the 450 yd. dinger by facing backwards to it with the 1893 over his shoulder, and shooting it with a hand held mirror!
When he sent it to me I just laughed, and shook my head. Only he would try that, and the smile on his face at doing it was priceless!
edit: I found this early video they did and the mirror shot is around 2:40 into it. Lots of other fun stuff from the early years too!
