I don't buy it.

Computer algorithms have also been predicting catastrophic anthropogenic global warming for the last 20 years.

Show me how that prediction was verified by actual measurement.

LilGun, a double base powder is what I burn in my Aydt. At roughly ten shots a year I won't lose any sleep over it.

Westerner,
Thanks - which double base powder do you use? Any idea what velocity you’re running? I’m probably running 500 a year through it.

I’m curious to know if anyone else has any hesitation or experience with running lots of double based powder through their original barrels. That’s mainly whatever here.

USCRA,
What level of rigor are looking for to be convincing? What did you to get happy with the Quickload program? I can run similar cases if you provide me inputs or I can show you results I have comparing the code I have to pressure gun data from open sources. I don’t think anyone has a temperature sensor that can measure the temperature spikes in cartridge cases.

LilGun. No I don't know the velocity. The rifle is used once in a while to shoot twenty shots offhand in the German rifle match at Spokane.

I do use LilGun in several other rifles. I didn't even know it was double base until reading this thread. I didn't know double based powders burn hotter than single base powders.

Westerner,
Thanks. I didn’t recognize Lil’Gun as a powder name, I was thinking that was a salutation. Grin Grin
