40-65 (and converted 45-70 brass), rim thickness?

I have converted 45-70 winchester , converted 45-70 Remington, 40-65 Bertram and 40-65 Starline...

Brand new barrel/chamber (rolling block), the rim thickness appears to be a couple thousands thicker on the Winchester and Bertram. Is this a "known" thing or just a tolerance stack that I have found? It all chambers in my 1885 C.Sharps.

What I had run into on 30-40 brass was that the rims on my Remington were a few thousandths thicker that my Winchester. I guess it is what it is.

I have found WW to be inconsistent, Starline has been good.
