	Anyone have any experience with cast lead 169 gr. bullets for fixed ammo in a 30-40 Krag with 300MP? They would have a gas check.

	I'm not a complete idiot, some of my parts are missing.

	maybe not super helpful but back in the early 1990's we used 18-19g of H110(or W296) in the 308 Winchester with 165- 180g bullets in CBA matches. The one and only RCBS cast bullet manual showed these loads.

	Jerry, Is it a GC bullet? If so, I would go this route: I had excellent results withe a 18.5 gr load of 4759, in both the Krag & 303 Brit (both milsurps). You could start with that same charge and work up 1 gr with the 300MP. If PB, I think the velocity will be to fast and 14.0 gr would get it into a good range, at least. I've done a lot of BS shooting in my 30/40 HW. That load was 4227.

	30-40Krag No3 Ruger, 21 grains Reloder 7, 30-180-sp GC RCBS, my all time favorite, good to Turkeys, 385M I have used 300MP in my Ruger, with PB bullets,12-14 grains works well with Saeco #529, casts about 180, with bank scrap, fixed ammo I use a Lyman 310 tool, with 30-40 Krag die, Simmons tool to de-cap and re-cap, I have used a LEE FCD with Lyman hand press, to just crimp enough to hold the bullet in the case

	Winchester 30-40 Krag High wall, Lyman 311332 GC cast Lyman #2 @ 185 gr. 19.0 grains Reloader 7 Came onto this load recently and this rifle likes it.
