I guarantee my 44 magnum and 45 Colt Ruger loads are higher pressure than my 32-40 Schuetzen loads!

I have seen primer tests that indicate some magnum primers are no hotter than standard primers. I think it is fine to try them and for loads less than max I suspect you can use the same charge. I have tested them before and noticed no significant difference in chronograph readings between mag and std.
