Some RollingBlock rifles

I have a few original Rolling block rifles in .43 Spanish, and at one time had a rifle I built from a kit from Cape Outfitters in 45-70 (last on rt). I also built a Sharps 45-70 but have no pictures of it.

Nice collection of Rolling Blocks! I like them too, but have no military versions.

I have a few rollers both sporting and military. 10-15 years ago I failed to go and buy a Swedish Artillery carbine that was in a nearby shop in Germany, been kicking myself since...

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

Silver, The one on the right was a kit from Cape Outfitters back in the late 90s. The first kit they sent me had a "gracious" chamber. I sent it back and requested one without the chamber reamed and they sent me one. I contacted Clymer and they provided me with a "minimum" SAAMI  finishing ream. I did the fitting, polishing and bluing (Cold Rust) and I don't remember who did the color case hardening.

The fun part was profiling the barrel for half octagonal, half round.

I don't have the paperwork on the RB, but here is one from their Sharps which I also built.

Has anyone heard of them?

Cape Outfitters is extremely well known in the world of both single shots, and SxS shotguns, and fine double rifle accessories. When the owner died his manager bought the business and changed it to Jeff's Outfitters. Jeff recently retired, and is working the business into retirement too.
