Alternative uses for .25-20 SS brass

I came into possession of a box of Rem-UMC .25-20 SS. Out of them 11 have split necks (stopping at the shoulder). I vaguely remember a member here stating that there's a use for such brass in making some other obscure cartridge after cutting it off at the shoulder, or am I mis-remembering? I'd be happy to forward them to a potential user if that's the case.

It was one of the rook cartridges like 300 Rook.

The concern is why did they split.  I had a bunch of 25/20 SS brass and some split at the neck.  I was told that the brass was likely britle diue to mercury contamination from old primers.
If that is correct, would even trimming the brass save it?

.300 Rook. .32 Long Rifle. .32 Long and .32 Short.

I think the neck cracks preclude using them for .32 Extra Long.

The brass is thin and old and the cracking is inevitable.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I think it will work to make .25-21 Stevens also.

I have made quite a few .32 extra long from them. A have a couple rifles that use it, so need to keep them fed.

Most of them are new unfired. If I were to use them for any of the aforementioned cartridges I would anneal them and use them.
