Here's my Shiloh Sharps, it's an 1874 No. 3 Sporter with 30" barrel in .45-70.

since none of our Sharps folk have commented, I will. It is a darn nice looking rifle and, in all likelihood, a pretty good shooter. I thank you for showing your rifle and think that now it would be interesting to hear how, and what you shoot with it. Happy Easter, too!

Yes, congratulations on your purchase.

I remember my first, a Farmingdale 45-70.  If you have the Sharps bug, the first one should always be a 45-70 IMHO.  The bug quickly turns into a virus.  I have six of them now, and an 1877 on order.
