Looking for information on Falling Block Action

I stumbled across pictures of this rifle/action recently.  It’s a new one for me (means I haven’t seen it in one of DeHass’s book) and it sure is sexy.

Does anyone know anything about this action and it’s availability?

With those triggers, looks like a Heeren action.

Yes, except in a Heeren the triggers are directly under the block. The round breech block is much more unusual. A really slick action.

It's a custom action made by J. Hensel.
I believe that he's in Ferlach, Austria.

Scroll down on this site to see a second one of his, one a little more elaborate and with a traditional DST: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Hah! a little more elaborate, indeed. Roll Eyes
All of my several aunts didn't have that much gold in their jewelry boxes and teeth all added together.
But, what I noticed first was that the triggers sure are different. Did that rear one really cock the action, or is that just an auctioneers unknowing mistake?

Like the Heeren, I'm sure, the rear "trigger" of the OPs action is part of the hammer. You can cock the action by pushing it forward (first click) and by pushing it way forward (second click) make it a set trigger. The pic may show it cocked but not set. Check this thread on my Heerens to see what goes on with the trigger. Reply 8 shows my little Heeren with the "trigger"/hammer fired/uncocked. Opening the action cocks it.

Thanks, I just have to find the thread now. I never dealt with any of the exotic varieties. Lots to learn (ast about).

Cool. Ya know, this forum is really hard to look for anything- lots here that I'd like to revisit, but don't bother because I get lost in something else and never make it to where I aimed for.
I have never seen one of those rifles. Or, quite a few other types either.
