Boats,
I seem to recall using a slightly heavier charge of 4227 in my high wall and my Ruger #1 with fixed ammo.  It was with a Bud Welch bullet and Large Rifle Match primers from Federal, if memory serves.  A batch of them came with my Ruger when I bought it, but my original old high wall liked them as well.

I have been using the Federal Gold Medal Match Large Pistol Magnum Primers with great success. This in my 25-35 CPA Schuetzen Junior / Model 52 breech seating benchrest competition rifle.
I also chambered the rifle for Large Pistol primer use as to not damage the face of the breech block.
If I want to use the longer Large Rifle primers I only have to use a Large Rifle primer pocket uniforming tool to increase the depth.
I also use the Alliant 300MP powder for my own personal use.
It is a 200 yard 250 score rifle when I do my part and I also designed the reamer around the MOS 120 grain spitzer and the bullet that I use.
The barrel is a half octagon to round Douglas 10 twist at 28 inches in length and it is also a CPA #3.

I actually don't like share any results unless I have actually already accomplished it myself.
Below is a 200yd. iron sight benchrest target that I had shot with my self made 28 inch tube sight.
Please don't ever look at this as some type of self bragging rights as that has absolutely nothing at all to do with it.
But to only share what I have actually used in hopes that it might also help you.
You might also have to enlarge to see it all.

CPA action has several advantages when primer switching. Outside hammer spring tension adjustment.Breechblock bushed with gas escape hole. Slightly smaller firing pin handles hard primers well .

Is is similar to looking through a scope without any magnification.
All one see's is the front aperture.
