Ballards may be weaker,

I have good loads for the .32 Long that should work as well for a .32 S&W Long. 
I use a 100 gr. bullet with 3.5 grs. of Unique and get good accuracy. Under 1000 fps velocity.

One of my favorite loads is the Accurate 31-100R bullet at 100 grains with 3.0 grains of unique. The Lyman 313226 bullet also works well  with this load. you could probably increase the load to 3.5 grains safely. I've written down some loads with Accurate #5 from others but I have not tested them so won't list them. I shoot a #2 Ballard and a Maynard with barrels lined to 32 S&W Long.

For pistol size cartridges in rifles, I like Reloader 7. I don't have a 32S&W. But I do load .32 Ballard XL. RL7 is a bulk powder that fills the case nicely. For my 32XL, I load 9.5gr of RL 7 under a 93gr bullet. This gives me 1130fps in a #2 rolling block. 32 Colt with an 87gr bullet takes a capacity load of 7.0gr of RL7. Both of these are a full case of powder. Try starting at maybe 80% capacity and go from there.

Been contemplating a 32 S&W Long rifle build for a while now as I already load for a Walther GSP in that cartridge. (2.0 gr. Unique W/ 95 gr wadcutter).
Any comments on twist rate, bore dia., groove dia.? My Walther GSP looks to have quite shallow rifling grooves.

Old 30 caliber barrels in ordinary twists for 20th century military cartridges do great for 32 S&W Long. Mine started as a 7.5 Swiss barrel.

As far as I know his son is running the business. I have not bought any liners for about a year though.

Yes, TJ's is still selling liners. A friend just got one within the last two weeks for a rifle he's relining.
