Majority of my Harrell’s work 17 grs 4227 for the 38/55 14.5 32/40 Generally charge pistol cases with fixed rotor Bonanza measure. Most milled out to custom drops
With the demise of Hodgdon  Clays looking for another 9mm & 45acp powder. Will alter Bonanza rotors, need to find the correct charges first. I load cast bullets lighter charge than recommended.

Alliants Sport Pistol looks right. Recommended 9 mm charges 124 g FMJ bullet 4.5 grs, 125 gr cast 4.2 grains. Internet action pistol forum shooters use a lot of 4.1 to 3.7 charges with appropriate tuned springs.

Set the Harrell’s up 50 on the micrometer . Dumped 10 to settle the powder then ran 10 more weighed. Scale calibrated with check weights. Harrell’s dropped 10 x 3.9 grain charges absolutely on the mark. Micrometer to 45 dropped 10 x 3.7 grain charges again perfect. 40 x 10 3.3 grain charges spot on.

Volume it’s very little powder still hit the weights perfect leaves 5 marks 4 clicks each to fine tune, my next job.We are lucky to have Harrell’s available.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I couldn't agree more! Since I bought my Harrell's powder measure maybe 6 or 7 years ago I've never been disappointed with the performance of it! The best powder measure I've ever owned!
