I bought a bunch of 5.6x50R to make new 32 MS brass and was looking for a good suggestion on a way to shorten the cases before sizing. I have 300 cases to do so trying to make it less painful.

I bought and used one of these from amazon  "jounjip mini miter cut-off chop saw for hobby miniature model making"  copy and paste that in the amazon search bar.  did the task but not a lot of power.  key was to get the brass square to the blade and fighting the brass's taper in the process.  i did 500 plus cases and the saw is still working.  see my pm

Might be cheaper at Harbor Freight. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
The secret to ease of use is to make a wood jig (in this case, say 1/2x1/2x11/2) that fits the cartridge (basically just base and neck) that sits in the vise and stops the case at the rim and is adjusted to cut off at the desired length.

The Harbor Freight mini cutoff saws have gone through a few changes since I purchased one. I found that a Wilson case Holder solved the square cutoff problem, and a screw attached stop set the length ,on the saw I have. It worked quite well when forming 219 Donaldson and other wildcats like the 224 Pfeifer rimmed 220 Saunders Krag both from shortened 30-40 cases. This was 30+ years ago, so not sure the current model saw would work as well.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I have used my HF mini chop saw with the wood blade that came with it to shorten cases for years. Blade still is sharp, and works great.
I do as oneatatime mentioned and make up a small wood block to lay the cartridge cases in and set it so the rims stop against the off end of the block. I just hold the case down with a glove on my left hand and chop them off close to length.
I bought the HF saw when I was shortening a huge amount of .303 British cases to make my .40-50SS cases.

I have the Harbor Freight saw and it works great with the wood shell holder I made.  My question is where did you find 5.6X50R for making 32 Miler Short?

You might try Huntington die specialties for RWS cases.
