Thanks to a great member here I have new brass cases. I want to use pointed or spitzer bullets in the 180 to 225 grain range. It's for a small BSA Martini action and a 22" barrel.

With my Martini Cadet I have good accuracy with the 180 grain Hornady XTP and 14.3g of 2400.  I use a 180g RN/FP (Quality Bullets-coated, not gas checked) with good results using 18.5 grains of IMR4227 and 23.5 grains of IMR 4198.

Just as an aside and for historical reference; I would personally consider maximum loads for your rifle lower than those listed for the old Ruger Maximum pistol.  They produced pressures higher than safe in a Martini.  That pipe bomb theory.
The Accurate Arms first edition (the red cover) showed a 210gr lead bullet load developing over 42,000 Psi.

Member data shown here should most likely be used as a reference, and slightly lowered.

Probably just me, but as I get older I get more conservative.  I have known John Taffin for more than 40 years, and his early penchant for max handgun loads has caught to his wrists.
