Ballards may be weaker,

Vall, no fair going neat on us!

I contemplated refilling it, and taking it to the range when I shoot. But afraid I might break it, and doubt many young guys would appreciate what it is.

You've got young guys where you shoot, and not just fondling black guns?

Yes, we've got young guys shooting, but mostly shooting those black guns.
When I get out there to shoot I rarely find even old guys who are shooting anything interesting to me! Last trip out it was all either black rifles, or modern .22 bolt action mini sniper rifles. The club does a lot of matches, and I hear they do one that revolves around those modern plastic stocked .22LR bolt guns.
They look at my guns with bewilderment, and show no interest in old guns that can only shoot one round at a time. But we do have a good group of BPCR shooters who shoot our long range targets occasionally. Most shoot modern replicas, but a couple still shoot old originals.
