BSA 22 Highpower

many years ago I saw one of these at a friend of my dads.I swore it was a BSA but never could quite remember. Well I found it in an old issue of Arms and The Man  from 1918.
Later in life a friend of Marlinguy and mine had a Westley Richards Martini in 22 HP.I drooled over it at every visit to his house.

Now I want one worse than ever!

That would be an interesting rifle, I have a weakness for Martini actioned rifles. Where would you get .228 diameter bullets? Or if building a new rifle would you use a .224 barrel and custom reamer. I have a Martini in 25-35 that I really enjoy shooting and hunting with. My original 12/15 had a 29 inch barrel, I cut it back to 25 inches and used it for hunting small game for years.

This would be an interesting/fun rifle to own.  I would also be inclined to barrel for .224" bullets.  Imagine the long range potential with the 77 and 80 gr VLD-type Hp's...

Wouldn’t a .224 calibre one just be a 219Zipper......
I cast pills for my 22HP

Yow. That would be uber cool. I shoot .22 HP Savages and often thought a HP in a single shot would be great, especially since I'm sitting on a ton of components.

Buffalo Arms bullets are very good, when they're actually in stock. Lots of Hornady .228's still floating around too, but getting harder to find. My favorites are the old Sisks and Speers.
