Lucky to be able to pick up a very nice 1977 year Browning 78 in .243
Came with Talley base and rings and set trigger.
Gonna mount a nice VXIII Leupold on it.

That's a nice rifle and yes, you are lucky! There were a lot fewer B78s made in 243 than the other chamberings and that Canjar trigger is worth its weight in gold.

The fact that the Canjar trigger is already installed is worth twice what the trigger is worth. A great trigger, a PITA to install, but worth the effort.

Nice wood!

When Browning first brought these out a gun smith and Schuetzen shooting buddy named Steve Fotou in the Salt Lake area figured out how to put DST's in them.  We shot together for several years at Raton.  My wife and I drove to SLC to their house, and then down to Raton in his Boat.  He had a late-80's Olds (?) fullsize sedan, aka 'the Boat'.  I think it would hold about ten adults.
