Pretty happy with the 25-35 AI

I seem to have the forming of cases worked out and some promising results on the Miroku 1885 that I rebarreled. A client gifted me a Krieger 25 caliber blank form a project that he was not happy with. I had a Miroku 1885 that was sitting in the back of the safe and looked like a good prospect for my 25-35 Ackley project. My first attempts at fireforming cases was a dismal failure. Once that issue was resolved I was impressed with the groups when fireforming the brass. I have not made a new forearm or decided on a permanent mount for the scope, so I have a Weaver base mounted with 2 screws in some existing holes in the barrel. The posted groups are typical of what I am getting so far with IMR4064 and 100 grain Ballistic Tip and Sierra Game Kings. As time allows I look foreword to more experimentation with a better scope setup and a forearm that is free floated.

Curt, my standard 25/35 Stevens really shines with the 100 grain BT bullets and I dropped maybe the largest mule deer I ever shot with a single lung shot at 225 yards.  Gotta love the light recoil!  Tom
