There are a few guys in there who are packing some extra pounds.  However I read years ago that back in the days when there were logging camps with cook houses that the average daily consumption of food amounted to 8000 calories!  And I don’t think there were too many over weight loggers back then.


I heard when the Alaska pipeline was being built the workers were consuming the same calorie count.Cold weather and manual labor eat up the energy. When I was a distance runner(80 miles a week training) I averaged 6k per day and had trouble keeping weight on.now if I eat over 2000 I put on weight!
