Congratulations!  A varmint classic!

I also have a CC Johnson Borchardt, originally a R-2 Lovell but now rechambered for a shell halfway in length between the .219 Wasp and the .219 Zipper Improved.  The caliber isn't marked on mine, though.  The woodwork on yours is much better than on mine.

Mine was my first "real" single shot rifle.  Caused me to buy DeHaas' book to find out what I had, and then of course I started accumulating specimens of all of the rest of them.  Sort of a "gateway drug," if you will.

Congrats on a nice rifle. I too am a sucker for nicely done varminters made up on SS actions back in the hayday of such things.

Do you suppose someone other than Mr. Johnson re-chambered it from the original R2 Lovell?

Yes, I think so given the quality of the caliber marking stamp to 219 Don.
I don't think Mr. Johnson would be so sloppy.

I can attest that CCJ would have removed the original caliber marking with a shallow end mill pass and remarked with the new caliber. He would also stamp a new job number on the bottom of the barrel.

I think it will arrive this Tuesday.
(but I'd gladly ............)
Included in the auction was 100 pieces of brass.

J_C_J,
I'm hoping you might have some info on this rifle for me, I'll post the job# when it arrives.
Thanks in advance
