Looks for all the world like something Carlos Gove or Jacob Gemmer might have done.

Here's my franken muzzmart. Well, it's not a Martini since it doesn't have a striker. Better would be a hammerless Peabody, so a muzzpeab maybe. Of course, Westley Richards, in their obfuscation, called it an Improved Martini (improved by replacing the striker with a hammer?), so maybe a muzzimp. The original 500-450 #2 Musket chamber has been filled with a steel plug with a bore diameter hole down the middle and a base chambered for a 209 shotshell primer (with a little notch to facilitate flicking it out). All this happened back in the late 1960s. Using an old Lee Improved Target Minie, it has cleanly taken 2 deer with a through and through, lungs/heart shot and left a clean wadcutter type hole in the skin. It sports Henry rifling. That lever on the side is the safety - pulling it back puts a bar behind the trigger.
