It would be interesting to get the exact recipes of loads used by the shooters at the major shoots who have placed in the top 5.  This would include case brand, primer, powder type and amount, filler type and amount, wad type and thickness, bullet alloy, type, and weight.  Dave Gullo would be the first to give this info.   In regard to filler and smokeless loads, a 1/4 sheet of 1 ply toilet tissue was pushed lightly down  like an upside down umbrella onto the powder.  I used a lightly rolled ball of dacron pushed down by seating the bullet.  In thousands of rounds fired there has never been any melted plastic in bore or signs of pressure excursions.  May blow up with next shot, but at this point I am not worried.  My go to powder is accurate 4197, a powder sold by Miles City, Mt powder co.  About 27 grains for the 40/65.  Now I will shut up for the next year or two!  Oldwyo
