How much lead do you need to add to Linotype to make 1;25 by weight.

Tom, most linotype is 4% tin and 12% antimony, so as far as the tin goes, you're already at 1 in 25. Is this what you were asking?  Huh

Bob I didn't know what mix lino was. Sounds like I would shoot it as is and not worry about the antimony.

Tom, what do you want to shoot it in? It will be a lot harder than straight 1 to 25 which some shoot in BPCR. Dan Theodore was experimenting with, IIRC, 1 to 16 with like 2% antimony as his hardest BPCR/BPTR alloy.

I will be using it in .28-30s, .32-40s and .38-55. What amount of lead has to be added to equal Lyman No. 2?

Tom myself I would contact RoroMetals as that is their specialty and they have been extremely helpful to myself on such things for numerous years in my own past.
I would also typically email then rather than to call them as it also gave me the ability to carry on the same conversation with them if need be.

Lyman #2 is 90/5/5

There is no direct dilution of Linotype to make Lyman #2

I've mixed linotype and lead at 50/50 for decades and gotten good bullets.
