Bought a rifle a couple of years ago, it was topped with a Leupold 3 to 9 Vx II. The windage adjustment did not work. I finally got around to sending it to Leupold for repair. They sent an email today saying they are sending me a new 3 to 9 Vx Freedom scope at no cost, is that great or not?

Quote from PracticalPrimate.com    "At Shot Show 2018 Leupold unveiled their new scope line, the Leupold VX-Freedom. The VX-Freedom replaces both the VX-1 and VX-2 in Leupold’s rifle scope line up. Price wise the scope is pretty close to the VX-1, but Leupold have confirmed that the scope comes fitted with VX-2 glass, among other improvements. The scope has a one inch main tube and its reticle is in the second focal plane. It also features Leupold’s Twilight Light Management System, basically some pretty nifty lens coatings, which are said to deliver excellent performance in low-light situations and handle glare extremely well".....

Sounds  to like they stepped up to the plate  Smiley

Dillon, Leupold, Shiloh Sharps, Vortex.  Four companies that stand behind their product line.

The last 2 scopes I sent to Leupold were replaced.  Prior to that, for the last 30 years they have repaired everything I sent them.  It’s the main reason I don’t mind buying used Leupold scopes.  However, I think they are opting for the easier replacement over the repair in recent years.
