The best time...

I am sitting here.  1:44 am.  Almost the best time, day or night.  It's dark, the streets are silent, every body has gone to bed.

It's just me, and the early am train chuffing thru town.  That lonesome whistle alerting everyone of its' approach.

Good night all.

All of the above with a good cup of coffee at the reloading bench. Solitude is good.

Since my wife Joanie died, there will always be something missing on a morning such as you describe. I wish a good day to all.  Krag

4:45 AM and eggs waiting to be shot when the sun comes over the mountains is my favorite time of day. Sipping a cup of coffee at the bench with a nice. 22 Schuetzen 200 yards away.

rkba2nd,

my wife had been gone to a family reunion in Montana about four days.  I was starting to feel that home alone syndrome a little.
She got back yesterday afternoon late.  It's a good feeling to see her folks car pull in the driveway.

I cannot really feel how things have been for you since your wife passed away.  Nor do I ever care to.  You are on our prayer list brother...

My solitude times are good, because my wife is near. I know your wife always has that special place in your heart, Krag. My grandkids arrive tomorrow for a visit, they'll be able to shoot as much as they want.
