Connection attempts *to* the forum?
If so, there should be settings where you can tell Avast to pass all such connections.
I'm a Mac user so "should be" is the best I can do.

Hmmmm, interesting. I run Privacy Badger, which is pretty aggressive, and I don't get any at all on the site. Not even Google.
Could it be that, since my HughesNet satellite ISP operates like a VPN, it may be catching these things before they get to me?
