We saw those pictures already when it was for sale. I want to see pictures of you shooting it and the targets you've shot with it.

You know, they have Schuetzen matches at Blacks Creek near Kuna. I was driving over perty regular a couple years ago but I just gave out. To far to drive and usually only three of us shooting.  I don't remember seeing any match results for Rich Kaiser.  What was that you were saying about a nursing home?  I'll be wringing out two rifles and shooting .22 Silhouette tomorrow. 

You should get with Frank Cornell. They need shooters bad. And they're not picky either....   

How similar are the Clerke highwalls to the originals internally?  A fellow showed me a rifle that he said was a Clerke highwall and the breech block looked almost like it raised and lowered on some sort of rack and pinion gear.

gunlaker, Bo made different rifles over the years, it sounds like you were looking at one of the actions he made for C&H. I bought various parts from Bo that were copies of Winchester parts, and they were interchangeable with the originals. However, Bo's parts were often left soft, and required finishing and hardening.

Gunlaker,  one of our members who has since passed had a Riedl rifle that used a rack and pinion arrangement.  I believe the rifle is still in our club with someone.

An old friend worked for Reidl.  He did the finish work and stocked the rifles.  The sad thing is, the price.  They were about, IIRC, three times the Ruger #1's.  When the company failed, they did not make payroll, again IIRC.  My friend finished up the last dozen or so, and they paid him with three actions.  He built a hunting rifle in 7mm Remington Magnum and stocked it.  He sold an action, and kept the last one.  I wanted to buy it, but $1500 was way out of my budget at the time.   
Five years ago, I was in a small town, and saw a gun shop.  I walked in, and there was the Reidl 7 mag.  I had seen the gun at a few shows, but it was still above my pay grade.  The shop owner made me a great deal, $800.  A customer had made a deal to pay him $400 (asking price then was $1200) on a layaway and 90 days to pay it off.  Guy never came back or called.  So, I got mine pretty easy deal.
Last year a young man saw a post on the CBA website about them, and found out I had one.  He offered me a lot of $$$$ and I sold it to him.
That rack and pinion made very positive extraction, mine would throw a fired case about ten feet.
