Does anyone recognize, or know who made this tang sight? It's on a Remington RB sporting rifle. Definitely not a work of art and pretty course on the graduations, but should serve it's purpose on a plinking rifle.

It looks like one of the  "Parts Unknown" /"Red River"
  

If I hear another  millenial use the term "node" or "optimal " at the range I'll scream!!!

It could be an early MVA. Back when all they had was a ruler a Chinese drill press and files.  They had to start somewhere....

Looks like a good serviceable sight to me. Needs a good blue job.

Leroy Merz is selling that rifle. Have you asked him about it? Maybe he will check to see if there are any markings under the base.
