I saw this online a while back. The title said, "The Gold Standard".

I like that IMR-4227 powder for the .38-55.
How come the can says 4227 but the target says the powder is 4759?
Chris.

That 4227 container is hiding something on the target. Looks like 200 may be crossed out and something else penciled in above it.
Mighty fine shooting.

Maybe that picture is the shooters way of throwing the competition off.
TSSRA stands for? Texas Single Shot Rifle Association? Can Texans be trusted?

Many moons ago when I was down in Texas on the way back to L/A for my flight home I stopped off to see the Alamo which at that time was shut for one day in the year, the day I was there.
Talking to a Texan outside and when I mentioned I was on my way back to L/A he said you want to be careful as you can't trust those folks up north.

Worst part, the target only scores a 249. It's bench 'cause nobody shoots targets like that offhand CF. That, and the proper pronunciation should be Texi-Can, y'all...

looks like a 250 to me. 'sides, nobody could do half that well loaded on V-8, even if mixed with beer or vodka. real benchrest shooters would love to have a 'tot' of whisky just before a match, though.

For years at Springfield I kept a bottle of corn under the kitchen sink in the clubhouse. Chuck used to roll his eyes.

Why is the 'N" in NOE backward? Just too much not right about this photo. I suspect Russian dissinformation!

When you use the wrong powder, you have to use a bullet that is too long for the given twist to make up for it.
When you do that, there’s no point in shooting at 200 yards. You go straight to 600, so that group is certainly better than a 250.
