Back during the Clinton years, there was an outfit at the SHOT shows who was selling or promoting D-I-Y primer reloading kits.  You disassembled your spent primers, punched out the dent, reloaded with some sort of stir-it-yourself chemicals (separate ingredients came in plastic bottles in the kit), crimped the anvil in place, and you were good to go.

At the time, that seemed a reasonable solution.  I saved a couple of gallons of primers (separated by size & type) in Mason jars.

Maybe we need to resurrect that idea.  Anybody know about chemicals and availability?

It's still around. I have one. It's called Prime-All Repriming Compound. Still $19.95 plus post. Haven't used it yet, but will if I have to. It's recommended you get a a pack or two of unbleached pure hemp cigarette papers, putting a disc of it on top of the wet priming compound, then the anvil. Then mash the anvil down while it's wet. That way the compound won't crack when you prime the case. Some people make up a couple hundred and prime their cases while it's still damp. Let it set a couple days, load, and shoot. Don't hit the primer you're straightening out more than 3-4 times, it isn't necessary.
