Sure there are. Just go to gun broker and look at the list for sale. By gun shops across the country that tell regular customers they are out of stock but selling then on the net for ten time what a face to face with a regular customer would pay at the counter.

I can get them from a local gun store for $7.50 per 100, but they limit you to 2.  Fortunately I still have a few thousand.  The lesson I learned in 2008 was to buy them cheap and stack them deep when they are plentiful.

Well, if you can't afford it, what else can you do?

To buy them cheap and to then to screw those who need them for the sake of money are nothing other than a bunch of low lives who we can all agree on to absolutely detest!

Like developers and real estate agents....
Supply and demand and willing buyers sets market price.
It ticks me off as well but that's human nature.

I stocked up when Trump was in as a hunch. I have a 10 year supply I bet.

Acquire them at any price and “encourage” legislators to quit giving free phones to foreigners.

Oops! Is this a political rant?

Yes it’s all about fellow shooters succumbing to predatory behavior. It’s the worst of the worst all under the banner of whatever the market will bear.

Best solution is to shoot a flintlock until the market returns to normal; if ever.  Of course, that assumes you have powder.

Winchester’s next price increase kicking in May 1st, Vista (CCI,Federal, and Remington) sounds like their price increase will be July 1st. And it will be double digit.. It’s not over yet……

Primers are readily available at gun shows here in Wisconsin at about $80/thousand. That is more than I want to pay, but when you consider the big picture, paying twice as much ( or even three times as much)  for a primer only adds a few cents to the cost of a cartridge. You can still reload for a lot less than the cost of factory ammo and in our game, factory ammo isnt an option anyway. I stocked up after the scare during the Clinton admin. and kept replenishing the inventory, so I have not had to buy any. However, last summer I found a thousand Wolf large rifle primers at a local gun show for $40.

So if you have to pay ten cents for a primer, ten cents for  powder, and five cents for a bullet of 30/1 alloy, ( I just made that up, did not do the math)  you are shooting for 25 cents a shot. I don't like it but that's what socialism has done for the country. Joe S
