Bullet sticks in mold?

I have a new mold from a respectable maker and the bullets stick in the left side.  Only the left side.

This is a first for me - they usually stick variously in one or the other side, or not at all, in any given casting sesion.

Before I send it back to have it examined, can anyone suggest what I might look for?

Thanks

Tiny burr or cavity cut off center. Don't go near the mold with anything metal. Lyman?

Yes look to see if the bullet cavity is actually centered in the two mould halves first. You can do this by using the opposite end of a vernier caliper and if one side is deeper than .005 from the opposite side the bullets just cannot fall out and being held in place.
If it is well centered then take a wooden toothpick and go along the parting lines and pull up any burrs that might have been left by the cutting process and then take a fine stone and gently remove them.

I smoked the mold.  It didn't help even on the first bullet I cast.

I'll give the other suggestions a try.

Thanks
