One of the many British designs trying to compete with American Breech loaders for long range (Creedmoor) matches. I think the Sharps Borchardt beat them all but most of the British rifles show wonderful workmanship. This is a rare Rigby Banks. Caliber .450 Rigby. Used to be owned by Tom Mattpack

Thanks for show us this gun Tom.
Building the Mini Fraser I have shown in a different thread, has made me really appreciate the British designs.

Now why can't someone manufacture something like that in a plain jane model for a reasonable price folks could use to build a rifle...

Steve Earle's Fraser action would be a splendid start!

Many years ago I ordered a Wesson #1 Long Range action from Steve.  He was not too busy to answer the phone and talk guns then.
Roger Green chambered the barrel on 450-400-3.25".  I had a plan to go back to South Africa and hunt Cape Buffalo one more time.  I'm still working out the details.

The action is lovely, and well made.
